When in Cuba: Part 1

CUBA PARTE UNO | VARADERO | THAT BEACH LIFE

My first time visiting the Cuban coast confirmed all those stories you always hear about their beaches. Without a doubt, Varadero has some of the best shorelines, sandy spreads, spectacular sunsets and ocean settings you can imagine. My time in Varadero at Ocean Vista Azul allowed me to disconnect just by being close to a water body and indulge in everything that comes with that simple island feel. Of course, I dressed for the occasion as I ventured from beach front to infinity pools by having fun with leopard prints and mesh tops, losing layers as I made my way down to the soft white sands. I love pairing simple accessories like a classic Cuban fedora and my large hoop earrings (that one classic piece of jewelry I never leave home without) for that casual and relaxed beach look. Highly recommend finding contemplative corners on a beach resort and spending time reflecting on all aspects of your life. Trust the sound of the waves, the visually stunning sunrises and sunsets to autopilot you into a meditative state. There’s something to be said about loving the skin you’re in and looking good while being lost in thought. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to adorn this evening summer dress that complimented that Cuban flare and vibrant culture. I'm convinced every woman should own a light and versatile summer dress for those evening candle lit dinners or walks on the beach. Pieces like this dress compliment breezy evenings that are your best friend on a humid island night!
