It's the most wonderful time of the year...mainly due to all the delicious food we get to nom on and all the parties we get to dress up for! To me, my go-to looks for the holidays consists of sequins, metallics, and A-line skirts. Something about A-line skirts that is so festive and just perfect for holiday parties. This particular skirt is very special to me because I actually made it myself :). I recently took a sewing class at The Make Den and this was the final product! I chose this pattern and stye solely for the purpose of wearing it for the holidays. I fell in love with subtle but richness of the pattern!. Fun fact: the material is actually from the upholstery section at Fabricland. I also went for a longer hemline for the skirt. I think it looks so dainty with a nice pair of high heels. I can't wait to wear this skirt again - I have a few ideas in mind so stay tuned. Also, can we please talk abut how beautiful this top is! I am actually wearing it backwards ( I love wearing a lot of my tops backwards - 2 tops in 1. Duh!). I recently got into thrift shopping ( I will be doing a post about this very soon) and I found this cute velvet top in mint condition for a few dollars! It would also make a great saree blouse as well. Oh, how I love finding good deals! Happy Holidays everyone :)
